A while ago (May/June/July) I started to apply for stalls at a few designer markets. Now as these events were juried and applications for them closed many months ago, I applied for every single one that I found out about. That way if I wasn't accepted into one, hopefully I would be in another.
What I didn't realise, or think about at the time, was that I could actually be accepted into them all. That is exactly what has happened! The positive to that is I'll get a lot of exposure and I absolutely love to participate in them. The downfall is that I worry that I'll be over exposed and I don't want people to get sick of my work. In addition I've got to make sure I keep an equal balance between markets, wholesale, clients and private work - which can be tough but hey at least I'm not sitting around bored!
I have massive plans for next year, and I'm looking forward so much to the next month which is jam packed with clients, markets and fitness sessions. Oh, and Christmas!! :) So without ado, here is an outline of what is happening next week which is the first week of December!
Thursday 4th December
5.00pm - 9.00pm

(P.S. Nova will be broadcasting live so be sure to pop on down!!)
Friday 5th December
5.30pm - 8.30pm (Invite Only)
Saturday 6th December
10am - 5pm
Sunday 7th December
10am - 5pm
The event is expected to have an attendance of over 10,000 people over three days, so be sure to get in quick before your favourite sellers sell out! Don't forget that everything is handmade, and being so close to Christmas it is a great place to buy gifts for your loved ones.
Sunday 7th December
1pm - 9pm
(my family is helping out and hosting the stall but I will personally be in attendance from 6.30pm - 8.00pm)
I have a few more markets after next week including the Oxford Street Markets (confirmed) on Saturday the 13th and Saturday the 20th of December as well as the Barrack St/Belltower Markets on Sunday the 14th of December (which I'm still awaiting confirmation on).
(Unfortunately the above events with the 'strike' through had to be cancelled/or were cancelled for a variety of reasons.)
After all these markets though I will most likely take a rest in the first half of the new year to cope with juggling multiple exhibitions, studying and a few exciting projects for clients. So if you want to have the opportunity to meet me, chat, say hi and introduce yourself - or just shyly wave..... this is the time to do so!
Hope to see you at one of Decembers events!
